Affordability is a hugely important issue for many people in the region and lowering bills and helping customers out of water poverty is a priority for us.
With 4 in 10 of the most deprived neighbourhoods in the country being in the North West, we’re working hard to help customers who need it most. In 2018 over 10,000 customers became debt free and over 34,000 are now being helped through payment matching schemes.
Supporting customers with additional needs is also important. Last year we added an additional 21,000 customers to our free Priority Services register which helps vulnerable customers who need extra support and we’re continuing to make sure all customers with additional needs across the North West are fully supported by us.
