Your water, your say

Your Water, Your Say

We recently shared our initial business plan for 2025-30 where we are proposing to make the biggest investment in the water infrastructure for over 100 years: £13.7billion is planned on being invested across the region to improve services for customers and the environment, enabling us to build a stronger, greener, healthier North West for everyone.

As part of the process, we engaged with over 95,000 people across the region, from Cumbria, Lancashire and Merseyside to Manchester and Cheshire, talking to thousands of people to help shape plans and address the things that you've told us matter most.

Have your say

In addition to publishing these plans and engaging with customers and communities across the North West, we also held a series of live and open ‘Your Water, Your Say’, online meetings where Louise Beardmore and her Exec team ran through the plans. Attendees we’re encouraged to ask questions on any topic of their choice or to submit questions in advance for the Chair to raise on their behalf – these questions weren’t shared with United Utilities in advance.

The events took place in June and November with meetings both focusing on the counties we serve and on the North West. The North West Regional meetings were hosted by an Independent Chair, appointed by our regulator Ofwat and the Consumer Council for Water (CCW).
