This work forms part of our largest ever investment in Salford's sewer infrastructure and, on completion, our investment will help the system cope with population growth and achieve stricter environmental standards, leading to long-term improvements in the quality of water returned to the environment.

At our Salford site we're investing in a new treatment process designed to remove higher levels of ammonia and phosphorus. Work is underway and we're also carrying out upgrades and investment at our Eccles treatment site and installing a new section of sewer on Peel Green Road to reduce the risk of sewer flooding.
