This is a challenging time for us all right now and our part at United Utilities is to make sure that water keeps flowing to the tap, toilets can be flushed and we’re there for customers struggling and worrying about bills and those more vulnerable among our communities.
Our teams will continue to be out and about in your area over the coming weeks. They are doing essential and emergency work which means those core services keep going and our pipes, pumps and water and wastewater treatment works keep working.
We’re closely following all the Government and Public Health England guidelines and advice so what we do and how we do it protects our people and the wider community to ensure we’re keeping everyone as safe as possible. This includes putting into place social distancing between teams working together as far as possible, encouraging customers in the street to do the same with our workforce and limiting, as much as we can, any direct contact with customers in their homes.
If you’re shielding or self-isolating, our teams will take the necessary precautions if we do need to visit you. Our priority is always to keep both you and our colleagues safe.
You can help by only ringing us if it is an emergency
Our teams are really busy so we’re trying to focus on helping those who need us most and you can find lots of information across our website. If you’re struggling to pay or worried about your bill, we have lots of help and advice online so please have a look here.
As we all do our bit to minimise the spread of coronavirus, we may have fewer colleagues available to answer your calls and this means waiting times may be longer than we’d like so we would really like to ask for your patience as our teams ae working as fast we can.
If you have a water or wastewater emergency, then please let us know. If it’s something that can wait for a little while, please get in touch at a later date when we’ll be better placed to help you.
You can help by only calling us if you absolutely need to.
