Keeping our community connections strong

Prestwich Carnival United Utilities was a proud sponsor of the 2026 Prestwich Carnival – a much-loved local event that has been running for over a century. 

Over the June weekend, our team chatted to customers about bills, water saving, and the Big North West Upgrade in Manchester. With a wide range of investment projects currently underway across Prestwich and surrounding areas, the event was a brilliant opportunity to discuss benefits to customers and environment – while also enjoying the brilliant local entertainment on stage!

Customers took away free water bottles, goody bags, and money-saving tips over the weekend, and five lucky winners took away a free water butt to help care for thirsty plants and grass in their garden.

To say thank you to the brilliant volunteers who organise the special event, we gifted a hamper in the raffle and provided gift vouchers for the fastest Scout in the weekend’s obstacle course.

United Utilities would like to offer huge thanks to the carnival organisers who put on such a brilliant event, and all the talented artists who performed over the weekend.
