Bowland Forest

Bowland Forest, also known as Bowland Fells, is a designated Area of Natural Beauty with deep valleys, rolling hills, peatlands, gritstone fells and moorland - it is an ideal location to spend some time outdoors.

If you love bird watching Bowland Forest is the place for you! It is one of the best sites in the North West to see a wide range of wildfowl with spectacular numbers of common species!

A selection of waymarked woodland footpaths and cycle routes are available to suit all abilities. The circular reservoir footpath gives visitors the chance to experience the patchwork of farmland and forestry surrounding the open waters of the reservoir itself.
