Our improvements at Hawskhead Wastewater Treatment Work

We’re committed to improving the health of Windermere with a multi-million pound programme of upgrades which will improve treatment standards to further reduce phosphorus entering the lake and create more storm water storage capacity to help reduce spills

We are proposing to build an underground storm water storage tank near our existing Pumping Station. The tank would be 29m wide and would hold around 3000m3 of water - that's similar to 10 public swimming pools.

Awaiting planning permission submission. Site surveys are being undertaken.
