Improving water quality in Glenridding Beck

Installation of additional equipment to improve wastewater treatment and river health

We’re working to install temporary treatment equipment to provide additional resilience into the network and support wastewater treatment during the busier summer period. This will also provide helpful insight to understand further long-term upgrade activity at Glenridding WwTW.
During this work we need to temporarily take a small area of the LDNP car park space to provide safe access into our work area. The initial phase of work is expected to be completed in winter 2026.
