Building a stronger, greener and healthier Duxbury Mill
Over the next five years we're investing more than £30 million carrying out five projects in Chorley. Some projects are already underway such as the project at Southlands School, while others are still in the planning stages.
The underground tank off Myles Standish Way will be capable of storing three million litres of storm water and will reduce storm overflows into the River Yarrow, a tributary of the River Ribble. Vegetation and tree clearance activity will take place before the main construction activity is expected to start in spring 2026, taking two years to complete to include reinstatement and landscaping plans.
