Building a stronger, greener and healthier Godley

We’re planning an important upgrade at Godley Water Treatment Works as part of our wider investment in water treatment across the North West. The work will modernise ageing infrastructure and introduce new treatment facilities, helping us continue to provide a reliable supply of high-quality drinking water.

The new facilities will be capable of treating up to 120 million litres of water each day. Our project team is currently carrying out surveys, site investigations and early enabling works, alongside developing the detailed designs for the new facilities.

Throughout the project, water treatment services will continue to operate. We’ll work to minimise the impact of construction activity on the local community, including managing noise and site traffic, and we’ll continue to keep local residents and stakeholders updated as the work progresses.

Key benefits include:

- Modernising ageing treatment infrastructure.
- Supporting the long-term reliability and resilience of Godley Water Treatment Works.
- Helping us continue to provide high-quality drinking water.
- Providing new facilities capable of treating up to 120 million litres of raw water per day.
