Did you know you can check your balance and pay your bill using our automated card payments service using your debit or credit card? Please call 0800 980 6050 and have your account number ready.
Internet banking, standing order, BACS

If you pay your bill using your own internet banking service, standing order or BACS, please take the appropriate action to amend your payment instruction, as required.

Pay by cash

Take your bill or United Utilities Payment Card with you to either:

There are no counter fees for cash payments at Payzone stores or Post Offices.

At your bank

You can pay at your own bank or building society; just take your bill with you. You can pay by cash or with a cheque made payable to United Utilities Water Limited.

Please be aware that some banks and building societies will charge for this service.

By cheque
Please make your cheque payable to United Utilities Water Limited and post to: United Utilities, PO Box 11249, Harlow, CM20 9NN. Do not send cash through the post. Please remember to write your customer account number on the back of the cheque (you can find your account number on the top right of your bill).

We’re all enjoying the hot weather but with more of us at home we’re seeing big increases in water demand that may lead to low water pressure in some areas. Our key workers are working around the clock pumping extra water into the network but we’re asking our customers to help save water where they can. Together we can make a big difference. 

You can help by saving water where you can, on average each person uses 142 litres per day and there are some really easy ways to save.
