In order to successfully deliver affordable, accessible and attentive services that customers deserve, we are working hard to engage with our local communities and create partnerships with organisations like The BIG Food Project who work tirelessly to support front line organisations to provide the food needed in vulnerable and marginalised communities.
The BIG Food Project was founded in 2013 to serve those facing food crisis and need across the Fylde Coast including Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Boroughs. Via their site you can find one of more than 120 organisations that can provide food to meet your needs including warm meals, food parcels and through their BIG Food Truck offer which supports people and families who need a little extra help making their budget stretch to the end of the month.
These partnerships have not only allowed us to reach out to more than 500,000 customers, but also provide us with an understanding of the diverse communities we serve.
As part of our work with The BIG Food Project, we’re encouraging those customers who need additional support with their water services to register for our Priority Services scheme.
We can all benefit from a bit of extra support at some stage in our lives. Priority Services is free and could help you, your family or your friends benefit from additional support from us so we can respond quickly to those particular needs.
