Environmental investment project improves the River Weaver

Overview

A £2.3 million project sees the upgrade to existing sewers and the installation of a new underground storm water tank. The tank will collect excess water during heavy rainfall and help to reduce the number of times storm overflows operate in the local area.

Solution

The project on School Lane forms part of a total of £18 million investment in Northwich between 2025 and 2030.

Outcome

Part of the Big North West Upgrade, the investment project will improve water quality in the River Weaver.
