We make it as easy as possible for you to pay your bill with a range of options to suit your lifestyle.

My Account

With My Account, you have total control over your water account 24 hours a day. Once registered, you can pay your bill online at a time that suits you. You can also update your personal details, set up a payment plan, give meter readings and check your statement. As a My Account customer, you can also choose to receive your bills electronically rather than through the post.

Pay your bill online

Paying your bill with our online form might be the most convenient way for you. Have your account number to hand, together with your debit or credit card details and visit our secure site to pay now. If you make regular payments online, please consider registering for our My Account service as you don't need to enter your personal details every time you make a payment.

Smartphone app

Our smartphone app makes paying your bill as easy as possible. Visit our app page for full details.

Spread your payments over the year

Why pay your bill in one lump sum when you can spread it over the year with a Direct Debit? The great thing is you choose the frequency of your payments and we'll even knock £5 off you annual water bill for paying in this way. Visit our Direct Debit page for further information.

Automated payments line

Internet banking, standing order or BACS

If you pay your bill using your own internet banking service, standing order or BACS, please take the appropriate action to amend your payment instruction, as required.

Ping It

Ping It is a mobile payment service operated by Barclays, allowing you to pay your bill using your smartphone. You don’t have to bank with Barclays to use the service – visit Ping It for more information and to download the app. Once registered you can scan the QR code on your water bill and make a payment. Simple.

Pay by cash

Take your bill or United Utilities Payment Card with you to either:

There are no counter fees for cash payments at Payzone stores or Post Offices.

At your bank

You can pay at your own bank or building society; just take your bill with you. You can pay by cash or with a cheque made payable to United Utilities Water Limited.

Please be aware that some banks and building societies will charge for this service.

By cheque

Please make your cheque payable to United Utilities Water Limited and post to: United Utilities, PO Box 11249, Harlow, CM20 9NN. Do not send cash through the post. Please remember to write your customer account number on the back of the cheque (you can find your account number on the top right of your bill).
