What does a litre or cubic meter of water cost?

If you have a water meter, we charge you for every cubic meter of water you use. Don't forget, your bill also includes standing charges.

  • 1 litre of water costs less than 1p 
  • 1 cubic meter costs £3.19 (includes water and wastewater)

A cubic meter equals 1,000 litres of water, this is equivalent to 28 showers or 13 baths.
