We’re working to replace a section of water pipe along Oxenholme Road and Burton Road which has recently burst on several occasions. We’re installing a new section of pipe which will help to minimise the risk of bursts happening in the future.
We do understand that roadworks can be inconvenient, but we’ll need to have some traffic management in place so our team can carry out the work safely. To get the pipe installed as quickly as possible, we’ll also work weekends where the programme allows and throughout our work we’ll do all we can to minimise disruption for the community and road users.
We started work on Monday 4th November and expect it will take around 15 weeks to complete. The work will be carried out in stages, starting from the junction of Oxenholme Road and Murley Moss Business Village, continuing down Burton Road and then extending towards the junction of Natland Road.
From Monday 16th March we'll need to temporarily close the junction of Natland Road and Burton Road so we can install and connect the new sections of pipe.
Overnight work: We're carrying out the connection overnight when our customers are using less water, this will help us to get the work done as quickly as possible. The work will take place overnight on Wednesday 8th April between 9pm and 6am. We do understand this will cause some disruption for the local community and our team will do all they can to keep this to a minimum.
Once we have finished this work we'll be able to return the area around Natland Road back to normal and remove our road closure by Friday 17th April.
Thanks for your patience while we’re working, if you do have any queries you can always give us a call on 0345 672 3723 quoting project number 80061292. We’ll be happy to help.
