We’re working to replace a section of water pipe along Oxenholme Road which has recently burst on several occasions. We’re installing a new section of pipe which will help to minimise the risk of bursts happening in the future. We do understand that roadworks can be inconvenient, but we’ll need to have some traffic management in place so our team can carry out the work safely. To get the pipe installed as quickly as possible we’ll also work weekends where the programme allows and throughout our work we’ll do all we can to minimise disruption for the community and road users.
We’re starting work on Monday 4th November and expect it will take around 15 weeks to complete. The work will be carried out in stages, starting from the junction of Oxenholme Road and Murley Moss Business Village, continuing down Burton Road and then extending towards the junction of Natland Road. We’ll have three-way traffic lights at the junction of Oxenholme Road and Murley Moss Business Village which will move along in short sections as our work progresses.
We’ll do all we can to avoid the need to interrupt water supplies while we’re working, but if we do need to do this, we’ll make sure it will only be for a short period and will get in touch to explain the date, time and duration for the interruption to your water supply.
We’ll suspend work over the Christmas period and remove our traffic management from site on Friday 20th December, returning to continue our work on Monday 6th January.
Thanks for your patience while we’re working, if you do have any queries you can always give us a call on 0345 672 3723 quoting project number 80061292. We’ll be happy to help.
