Even cleaner water on tap for the Wirral

We're constantly working to improve the supply and quality of your water so you continue to receive clean, fresh water for your morning shower and to enjoy a great cuppa. 

We provide water and wastewater services to over 190,000 customers in Wirral everyday, but age can catch up with everything, including our pipes!  Some of the water pipes in the area are over 90 years old and over time natural mineral deposits have built up inside.  These deposits are not harmful, although they can sometimes cause the water to appear discoloured. 

You may have seen us, we're busy completing a programme of work to clean and refurbish around 40km of our water mains throughout the Wirral.  The work is being carried out in stages and is due to be completed in 2015. We're currently working in Moreton and Woodchurch. Our latest updates provide further details about where we're working and how it may affect you.

The work is just one of the cleaning and maintenance projects that we're carrying out across the North West, including working on some of our largest water mains, which will help us to provide you with even cleaner water on tap.
