Wilmslow to Alderley Edge pipeline

In June we began construction of the Wilmslow to Alderley Edge pipeline, a new 4.8km water pipeline that will run from Wilmslow Water Treatment Works to Alderley Edge Service Reservoir. Construction will take two years, and when completed it will ensure that the area has a robust water network befitting the population.

We have now completed the section of works in Wilmslow and have moved across the A34 Handforth Bypass.  In 2010 we will mainly be working through fields towards the Alderley Edge Service Reservoir, click here for a map of the route. 

Latest road closures and diversion routes

• From the evening of Wednesday 3 March through to Wednesday 17 March a section of Mottram Road to the east of Hough Lane will be reduced to a single lane.  Temporary traffic lights will be in place.
