What not to flush

When you’ve had a bath, shower or brushed you’re your teeth, it’s probably just the soapy water that’s washed down the plug-hole, so you can literally wash and go and we’ll take care of the rest. But you wouldn’t believe the things that sometimes get flushed down the loo, apart from the obvious (don’t worry we can deal with that).

You’d never believe it

We find all sorts of things down the sewers – from nappies, razor blades and cotton buds, to false teeth, toys and mobile phones. Some are flushed without a thought and some we can only think get down there by accident!

All of these items mixed with fats poured down the sink from cooking, stick together and can block drains, causing sewage flooding to homes and gardens.

This is just plain horrible and with a bit of care, can usually be avoided.
