Clowbridge Reservoir & Dunnockshaw Community Woodland
Clowbridge Reservoir is situated to the east of the A682 between Burnley and Rawtenstall, adjacent to an area of the Burnley Millennium Forest known as the Dunnockshaw Community Woodland.
Cowm reservoir
Cowm Reservoir is situated to the west of Whitworth, with access from the A671 Rochdale to Bacup road.
Dove Stone Reservoirs
Dove Stone is situated in the Peak District National Park, east of Oldham and Ashton-under-Lyne on Saddleworth Moor.
Goyt Valley
The Goyt Valley is situated within the Peak District National Park east of the A5004 Whaley Bridge to Buxton Road.
Haslingden Grane
Haslingden Grane lies in the north-east corner of the West Pennine Moors, with good road access along the B6232 from both the M65 motorway at Blackburn, and the towns of the Rossendale Valley.
Haweswater Estate
The Haweswater estate comprises 26,000 acres of land, woodland and water and is situated almost entirely within and the Lake District National Park.

Jumbles Country Park
Jumbles Country Park lies within the Bradshaw Valley to the north of Bolton, good access is available on the east side of the reservoir from the A676 to Waterfold car park, where the information centre and café are located.
Lamaload Reservoir
Lamaload reservoir is situated north of the A54 Buxton to Macclesfield road within the Peak District National Park.
Longdendale Valley and Trail
The Longdendale Trail is situated in the Upper Longdendale Valley, within the Peak District National Park - south of the A628 and north of the town of Glossop.
Macclesfield Forest
Macclesfield Forest is situated east of Macclesfield and west of the Goyt valley. The A537 is to the North and the A54 to the South.
Piethorne Valley
Piethorne Valley is situated on the A640 between Newhey and Denshaw. Rochdale and the M62 are to the north, Oldham is to the south.
Rivington
Rivington lies on the south-western edge of the West Pennine Moors, with excellent access from the north and south via the M61 motorway, through Horwich and Chorley.
Roddlesworth & Darwen Moor
Roddlesworth and Darwen Moor form part of the West Pennine Moors, lying just south of Darwen and Blackburn.
Strinesdale
Strinesdale is situated on the A62 between Oldham and Delph.
Thirlmere Reservoir
Thirlmere reservoir supplies water to Manchester and other parts of north west England. The estate of some 4,800 hectares, includes tenanted farms, extensive areas of woodland and open fells, which in the east extend to the summit of Helvellyn.
Watergrove Reservoir
Watergrove reservoir is situated north of Wardle and the A58 Halifax Road and south of Bacup. Rochdale is to the west and Littleborough to the east.
Wayoh & Entwistle reservoirs
Wayoh and Entwistle reservoirs lie within the West Pennine Moors to the north of Jumbles Country Park, with road access from the A666 / B6391.
West Pennine Moors
The West Pennine Moors is an area of 90 square miles of moorland and reservoir scenery, dissected by wooded cloughs and characterised by skyline features like Rivington Pike, Holcombe Tower and Jubilee Tower on Darwen Moor.
Worsthorne Moor
Worsthorne Moor is situated to the east of Burnley, beyond the villages of Worsthorne and Hurstwood. Road access is off the A646 at the Long Causeway, between Burnley and Hebden Bridge.
Worthington Lakes
Worthington Lakes lie within the Douglas Valley between Wigan to the south and Chorley to the north, with road access off the A5106.
