Huyton phase 2

In March 2012 work started to renew the 36" diameter water main which is expected to be completed in June 2013.

This work involves engineers inserting a new plastic pipe within the original cast iron water main, creating a secure new lining. To access the main and complete this work we will need to dig large holes which may be around 18 metres in length and up to 3 metres deep.  This will require some lane closures and traffic management around our working areas, we're working closely with Knowsley Borough Council and Liverpool City Council to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.  Residents and businesses who may be affected by our work will be kept fully informed in advance.
