Although many people flush and forget, we have a team of people who have to remove and dispose of these unpleasant items. Our environmental services cleaning team need strong stomachs to be able to clean up the rubbish which has been flushed down toilets all across our region. The job is not only a dirty one, but they also face dangers of drowning, suffocation, falling from heights and bacterial infection.
