Wayoh & Entwistle reservoirs

image - wayoh reservoirWayoh and Entwistle reservoirs lie within the West Pennine Moors to the north of Jumbles Country Park, with road access from the A666 / B6391.

From the peace and quiet of Entwistle's wild and wooded landscape, to the waterside habitats and nature conservation areas around Wayoh, the area has many aspects of local and natural history to offer the visitor.

heron sculpture at entwistle reservoirMany walking routes pass through these valleys and up on to the adjacent moors, including the Jumbles-Entwistle Trail, an 18km route encompassing all three reservoirs.

Site facilities

The recreation site facilities available at Wayoh and Entwistle include:

  • picnic area
  • dogs allowed
  • some paths suitable for assisted wheelchair users
  • car parking
