Water and energy efficient showers study
United Utilities, in conjunction with Liverpool John Moores University, has completed an important study of ways to help make showers more water and energy efficient.
The work has been done on behalf of the water industry to help increase the evidence base for water efficiency activity.

A further study was completed with volunteer homes in Warrington, in order to test the showerheads in a 'real life' setting. Access the report of this project here (2Mb).
United Utilities has also managed a project concerning 'visit-and-fix' audits in customers' homes, in order to evaluate the water savings to be made from offering a full fitting service instead of the water efficient devices on their own. Read the full report here (2Mb).
