Our charges last year 2011-2012

Our charges scheme relates to the period running from 1st April 2011 to 31st March 2012.

Below is a summary of our tariffs that form part of our charges scheme for 2011-2012. Please note charges are shown exclusive of any VAT. Charges are annual unless stated otherwise.

Household charges

If premises are not connected to the public sewer system for surface water drainage, either directly or indirectly, the sewerage charge is £0.995 per £RV (rateable value).

If premises only receive a surface water drainage service, the charge is £0.605 per £RV (rateable value).

2. Measured charges

Assumes a 15mm meter has been fitted.

If premises only receive a water service the standing charge will be £47.00.

If premises are not connected to the public sewer system for surface water drainage, either directly or indirectly, the sewerage fixed charge is £32.00.

3. Assessed charges - household where metering is impracticable

For a household property where a consumer has applied to have a meter fitted free of charge but where metering is impracticable, an assessed charge is available, comprising of a fixed annual sum varying according to property type except where only one person lives at the property:

If premises are not connected to the public sewer system for surface water drainage, either directly or indirectly, the sewerage charge for each type of premises will be reduced by £34.00.

4. Altered household premises - assessed charges

For household premises that have been altered but where a meter has not been installed, an assessed charge is available, comprising of a fixed annual sum varying according to the type of premises except where only one person lives at the property:

5. WaterSure - vulnerable groups' tariff

The charge payable for a measured household consumer who has established his entitlement for assistance is based on the average household charge.

If premises are not connected to the public sewer system for surface water drainage, either directly or indirectly, the sewerage charge for each type of premises will be reduced to £160.00.

• Discount for direct debit payers - An annual discount of £5.00 will be made to consumers who pay by direct debit
• Owners' allowance - An annual allowance of 3.5% is available to owners of premises who, by agreement with us, undertake to pay unmetered charges for one or more tenanted household properties.  To qualify for the allowance, payment must be made by the due date stated on the consumer's account
• Other Water Companies charges - Charges will be different for consumers who live near to the borders of the Company's area and receive water supply or sewerage services from another company
• Enquiries over basis of charge - Household consumers moving into a property within our area can obtain details of the basis of charge for that property by telephoning 0845 746 1100
