Longdendale environmental education centre

The centre has been developed by United Utilities in partnership with the Peak District National Park Authority to provide free environmental education to groups from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.

The centre caters for one class at a time and aims to:

• promote an understanding of the importance of water as a natural resource
• promote an understanding of the special qualities of the Peak District National Park
• raise awareness of how each individual has a part to play in the sustainable management of the countryside
