We're happy to announce that the hosepipe ban has now been lifted across the North West.

Since we introduced the ban at the start of July, your support has helped to save an incredible amount of water - as much as 15 million toilet flushes a day. Thank you!

This, together with the heavy rainfall we've had over the last few weeks, means that the majority of our reservoirs are now looking a lot healthier and we can lift the ban. The table above shows the current situation across the North West.

Although the ban has ended, it is important to point out that not all our water sources have returned to normal levels. The ban was imposed after the driest December to June spell to hit the region in more than 70 years, and we still have a number of reservoirs that are still lower than they should be for this time of year.

In particular, our reservoirs in the Pennine area are still low, which is why we would ask all our customers to continue their water-saving efforts. It really does make a big difference to our reservoir levels.
