Green portfolio commitments

The Green portfolio commitments are a framework of policies relating to all aspects of conservation, access and recreation issues on company owned land.

The commitments cover the regulated part of United Utilities based in the north west of England and outline the company's aims towards managing the 142,000 acres of company owned land, to accommodate conservation and heritage issues, sports and recreation, biodiversity, access and to illustrate liaison procedures with key stakeholders, whilst ensuring the protection of raw water quality. Each commitment highlights specific aims and actions related to the particular topic area in question.
