Environment & Community

We work in partnership with local and regional agencies to support environmental initiatives.

For example, with Groundwork, we are investing in public open spaces and local community environmental schemes. With the Wildlife Trusts, we work jointly on operating nature reserves on our land. With the RSPB, we are working jointly to conserve rare species and sensitive habitats, often on our own land. With the Peak District National Park, we are investing to restore upland moorland. We work with the Business in the Community (BitC), the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the Northwest Development Agency (NWDA) and the North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) to identify key projects that will result in us working to reduce carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions.
