Clowbridge Reservoir & Dunnockshaw Community Woodland
Clowbridge Reservoir is situated to the east of the A682 between Burnley and Rawtenstall, adjacent to an area of the Burnley Millennium Forest known as the Dunnockshaw Community Woodland.
There is truly something for everyone at this location with water sports, fishing and orienteering close to Clowbridge Reservoir, walking and riding trails throughout the woodland and an eco trail adjacent to Clough Bottom Reservoir. The area also enjoys a rich local history with ancient packhorse routes passing through the ruined hamlet of Gambleside, which dates back to 1242.
