CAR conference - 2008 - striking the balance

United Utilities hold an annual Conservation Access and Recreation (CAR) conference. The latest one was held on Tuesday 25th November, in the Mereside Conference Centre, Lingley Mere, Warrington. The conference was attended by 85 people, 20 from UU and 65 representing 41 different organisations see below.  The presentations from the conference can be accessed to the right.

38 feedback forms were received which included some very constructive criticism, regarding more time for debate, the hospitality and car parking facilities. The presentations provided a spread of interest. Suggestions for next years conference included  more information on recreation and sport, United Utilities planning applications and the impacts of the Water Framework Directive. All but one attendee enjoyed the conference overall.
