Weather delayed start date to water pipe improvements on Old Mill Road, Sandbach, given the go ahead as parts of the North West see a thaw.
Bosses from United Utilities, confirmed today the vital road works on the A534 in Sandbach would start on Saturday 16th January, with the northbound lane closed towards the M6.
The new pipework part of a £2.9 billion investment across Cheshire by the Warrington based firm to ensure the security of clean water for thousands of local customers.
Engineers are urging motorists to plan ahead for next week and leave plenty of time for their journey to and from work.
Old Mill Road will be closed to northbound traffic between the junctions of High Street and Congleton Road for up to two weeks.
Southbound traffic speed will be reduced to 30mph.
A signed diversion route will be put in place taking traffic via Betchton, Rode Heath and Arclid Green.
