Ofwat's Price Review for 2010-2015

We have today received details of Ofwat's 'Final Determination' on investment plans for the next five years to support the North West's drinking water and wastewater infrastructure.

Water companies now have two months to decide whether or not to accept the regulator's Determination, or whether to appeal to the Competition Commission if they are unhappy with the price limits set.

We will be using this period to study the Determination details in great depth. Every element of the report is of crucial importance to our customers, but particularly in the light of recent events in Cumbria.

There is a great deal of modelling work and information to process and we do not anticipate making an announcement on our decision before January 2010 at the earliest.
