£50 million 12-year loan from European Investment Bank

United Utilities Water PLC ("UUW") (A3, stable; A-, stable) has today received £50 million from the European Investment Bank ("EIB") representing the fourth and final 12-year loan granted by the EIB under the £200 million term loan facility signed on 30 September 2008.  UUW signed a further £200m loan facility with the EIB on 30 October 2008 as part of a total £400m term lending package to support the delivery of the remainder of UUW's AMP4 capital investment programme.
